Throughout her life, Sandra Bonhomme-Gilliam has been passionate about nutrition and how to stay healthy, which has provided a balanced way of living. Her extensive university journey led her to a Ph.D. in Nutrition, achieved in 2009 at the Paris-Descartes University in Paris, France.
Her passion for nutrition and desire to make healthy desserts led her to attending a pastry school in Paris to learn how to make traditional French products. After she became certified, Sandra created a series of gluten-free, dairy-free pastries that are made with whole ingredients: pastries that are not only delicious but also nutritious!
Sandra is also a gourmet (a connoisseur of good food) which most might think would be difficult to combine sweets with a healthy lifestyle. With her background in nutrition, she shifted her focus to becoming a French pastry chef (or pâtissière ), dedicated to making delicious and healthy cakes and pastries.
Sandra started Ma Petite Patisserie sans gluten pastry company in Paris until she met her husband, Daniel, during one of her visits to the U.S. Recently, she and Daniel decided to continue this healthy adventure together to bring a little taste of France to the Prescott, Arizona area and beyond.
