The Sourdough Magic

Taste of France in a Loaf: My Story as a Little Girl in Paris

I grew up on Rue du Rendez-vous in Paris’s 12th arrondissement, a charming neighborhood that felt like a little village within the city. Every day, I passed our local bakery, where traditional French sourdough bread, pain au levain, was baked in a wood fired oven. The irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread filled the streets, and my father would never buy our daily loaf anywhere else.

Years later, when I chose to follow my passion for creating gluten free pastries and breads instead of pursuing a career in biological research, I knew sourdough had to be part of my journey.

To me, sourdough brings life, love, and soul to every loaf. It carries a little of the Parisian magic I grew up with and allows me to share those treasured memories and traditions with others.

Making bread is more than a craft. It is a deeply rewarding experience that connects us to tradition, nourishment, and the people we love. There is something truly special about creating bread with your own hands and sharing it with family and friends.

With every loaf I make, I hope to share a little taste of France and a little piece of home.
